Day 12 Nambwa to Kasane

Nambwa camp proved very dry and dusty but at least it produced a 2.5m long black mamba a few metres from our camp!
Today saw us say farewell to Ralph & Angela and we'll see them again at Christmas in Cape Town.
Our travels today took us to Katima Mulilo, the Botswana border at Ngoma and then onto Kasane via the Chobe River Front (Chobe National Park) and for the R320 fee it was worth every red cent - it was absolutely stunning.  Hundreds of elephants (with lots of babies), thousands of buffalo and millions of the obligatory buck, including sable, the usual tall horses and warthog.  There was a fair bit of deep sand for the Doddle to get some excercise.
Tonight sees us ensconced at Mowana Safari Lodge - Lyn's kind of camping (see pictures below), the sand and dirt are becoming a bit much!

  1. These are fabulous photographs. I know, I keep saying that, but these are professional quality. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Seriously! I have photos of myself in Tanzania, in the Serengetti, face covered in dirt.
