Left Cape Town with 10140km on the odometer, with the passes calling. Just the other side of the tunnel we spotted the snow on the mountains, you can guess Lyn's comment about sleeping in a tent that night!

We headed for Montague then over our first pass, Ouberg (not to be confused with the ones in Ceres and Sutherland) taking us up onto the Waboomsberg. Passing by Anysberg we decided to pull into the Lord Milner for the night and had quite an impromptu party with some lekker Vredendal boertjies! My lips are still buzzing from the bugling in the pub, "Simon Garfunkel Die Bugler" - I'm sure they're suffering this morning.
