Days 4-6

Si:Hiya All! Been a bit slack lately (what day is it anyway?) but also it's been thin on signal.
Days 4 and 5 saw us in Etosha.  Mixed feelings.  The Okaukeujo camp had plenty of mammals at the waterhole and a roaring lion next to the camp after nightfall, but the camp is dry, dusty and stark and ablutions need some attention.  Driving through the park to Namutoni via Halali was all good, with animals all over the show.  Namutoni was a much better campsite (although ablutions not great), but the waterhole was almost bare!  Still nice pool and cold beer and putting up the tent has now become easier and I'm like a little piggy in lots of pooey.
Today we drove from Namutoni to Tsumeb, Grootfontien and are now ensconsed in a bed and breakfast next to the Kwando River.  Tsumbeb was well kept and leafy, Grootefontein  marginally less, but we were so surprised at how similar the towns look to RSA, quite organized and a fair few fair faces around.
What amazed me was when we crossed into Rundu Province - it's like another country, with fenced kraaals, donkeys and thatched wooden huts everywhere (none on the southern side of the border at all).
The Doddle's behaving nicely and we are getting about 7.5km/l which is pretty good considering the weight of Lyn's make-up bag.
Lyn:
What a cheek - lets say nothing about the number of toys he's brought with that we've already had to bury - RIP!! :) Now I've just got to get him to stop singing and drumming along to that damn ipod.....
Okaukuejo Camp, Etosha - note the 'shaded camp site' - at least we gave the 'tree' some shade!!
It has been fascinating and incredibly hot (and dry) so I'm looking forward to a change of scenery as we get into Caprivi. Meeting up with Ralph and Angela tomorrow so back to camping - Oh Yayyyyy!!
